How Ronaldo Finally Won His Ronaldo First Saudi Pro League Trophy at 41

Cristiano Ronaldo – Cristiano Ronaldo finally clinched his Ronaldo first Saudi Pro League title as Al Nassr beat Damac 4-1 on the last night of the season. The 41-year-old scored two goals in the final half-hour to seal the championship and end a five-year wait for major club silverware.

Ronaldo had not won a league title since lifting Serie A with Juventus back in 2020. So this one clearly meant everything. He was seen weeping on the bench as the final minutes played out — raw emotion from one of football’s greatest ever players.

His first goal was a trademark free-kick on 63 minutes that curled past the goalkeeper and found the far corner. His second came nine minutes from time, a powerful finish after receiving a cut-back at the edge of the six-yard box.

Al Nassr went 2-0 up early but the scoreline tightened to 2-1 before Ronaldo took control. Al Hilal pushed hard all season and finished just two points behind — making this title race go right down to the wire.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023 after a difficult second spell at Manchester United. His arrival opened the door for other big names like Neymar and Karim Benzema to follow him to Saudi Arabia.

His Saudi journey has not been without drama. He missed three matches in an apparent protest when Benzema moved to rivals Al Hilal. He also cried after losing the King’s Cup final on penalties in 2024.

Now 41, Ronaldo’s career total stands at 973 goals — just 27 away from the 1,000-goal milestone. He is also set to represent Portugal at his sixth World Cup after being named in the squad this week.
